ELLEX AT ESCRS 2017

Exhibit #P162

Join Ellex in beautiful Portugal for the XXXV Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), 7-11 October 2017, FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa.

MIGS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

A highlight of this year’s ESCRS will be minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). In particular, the evolving role of MIGS in the glaucoma treatment armamentarium, and how the various MIGS devices can be used together to achieve improved standards of patient care. International MIGS experts Mark J. Gallardo, MD (USA) and David Lubeck, MD, (USA) will be joined by a leading panel of glaucoma and cataract physicians to spotlight MIGS and ABiC.

FLOATER MANAGEMENT THE SPOTLIGHT

Floaters: to treat or not to treat? Following the recent publication by Shah et al in JAMA Ophthalmology, detailing the efficacy of Laser Floater Removal (LFR) in the treatment of symptomatic floater patients, floater management continues to garner increasing attention – and promises to be a hot topic at ESCRS. Shah’s study found that LFR subjectively improves floater-related symptoms and objectively improves floater appearance. In the YAG group, 53% of patients reported significantly or completely improved symptoms, versus 0% of the sham group. Masked photography grading revealed 95% of the YAG group had significantly (50-70% better) or completely (100% better) improved floaters compared with 0% of the sham group. Join Ellex and a panel of leading LFR physicians, including Paul I Singh, MD (USA) and David Lubeck, MD (USA), at ESCRS to discuss surgical pearls and clinical tips for LFR.
