Focal accuracy and efficient energy delivery for anterior and posterior treatments
Widen your treatment horizons
Ultra Q Reflex™ offers leading-edge YAG laser technology that’s proven to the highest level of performance. Choose Ultra Q Reflex™, and you can select from three treatment modalities, which comprise:
- Posterior Membranectomy
- Premium Capsulotomy
- Iridotomy
Converge and focus – Reflex™ Technology
The development of Ellex’s Reflex™ Technology, which includes True Coaxial Illumination (TCI™) for on and off-axis visualization, a precise aiming beam, and a superior energy beam profile — all within a unique slit lamp illumination tower design that converges and focuses your sight line, target illumination and treatment beam into one optical path.
On Axis Mode
-
Provides enhanced visualization of the middle and posterior vitreous
-
Allows for spatial context – especially near the retina
-
Red reflex helps with contrast for certain floaters
-
Ability to view anterior floaters

Off Axis Mode
-
Beneficial for visualizing anterior floaters
-
Minimizes red reflex which allows for floaters to appear “white”
-
Helps with defining posterior capsule
-
Decreases glare in some situations

True Coaxial Illumination (TCI™) – treat with greater accuracy
True Coaxial Illumination (TCITM) is at the heart of Ultra Q Reflex™. It’s technology that provides a stable and titratable red reflex across the entire working diameter within the pupil, that creates the highest degree of contrast, edge definition and detail shadowing of the posterior capsule and throughout the vitreous.
YAG… low energy, high efficiency
The Ultra Q ReflexTM features an Ultra Gaussian spot profile and fast rise time. That means you can perform capsulotomies and iridotomies at lower, more efficient energy levels. With less energy delivered into the eye, you’ll be able to carry out premium capsulotomies with all types of IOLs and with significantly less risk of lens pitting.
A powerful solution for posterior membranectomy
YAG membranectomy is a safe and effective first-line in-office laser-based option to eliminate visual disturbance caused by posterior membranes.
Employing TCI™ to visualize capsular fragments, Ultra Q Reflex™ can be used to visualize and vaporize broken pieces of these membranes and opacities. This minimizes the potential for focusing errors and the risk of damage to the lens, providing a safe and highly effective tool for the treatment of posterior membranes.
